Archiving and Repository Policy
The Journal of Development and Social Sciences (JDSS) supports open access to scholarly research and encourages the responsible preservation and sharing of published work. The journal allows authors to self-archive their research in accordance with applicable open-access practices.
Self-Archiving Rights
- Authors retain the copyright of their published work, subject to the journal's applicable licensing terms.
- Authors may archive the preprint, accepted manuscript (post print), and published version (publisher's PDF) on personal websites, institutional repositories, and other recognized scholarly repositories, where permitted.
- When an article is archived, authors should clearly acknowledge Journal of Development and Social Sciences (JDSS) as the original place of publication.
- The archived version should include the correct citation details and, where available, a link to the official JDSS article or DOI.
Digital Preservation
JDSS aims to preserve its published content so that articles remain available for the long term.
The journal uses recognized digital preservation and archiving arrangements, including:
- PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) / LOCKSS
- Other reliable scholarly repositories or preservation systems, where applicable
Repository Policy
JDSS permits authors to deposit the published version of their articles in institutional and subject repositories, as well as personal websites, with proper acknowledgment of the original publication. Authors must provide the journal name, article DOI, and original publication link when depositing their work while Publisher also have its own repository mechanism of published version. This policy supports open access, transparency, and responsible scholarly dissemination in line with COPE’s principles of publication ethics.
These preservation arrangements help protect published articles against accidental data loss, technical problems, or interruption of the journal's online service.
JDSS reviews its archiving and repository arrangements periodically to support the long-term accessibility and preservation of its scholarly content.
This policy is intended to support recognized open-access and digital-preservation practices, including requirements commonly applied by scholarly directories and indexing services such as DOAJ.
